Get “Social” With Your Isagenix® Business

facebook-twitter-140x100Facebook may once have been the place you went to relax, play a few games and reconnect with old high school friends, but take another look and you’ll find something much different: the perfect business opportunity.

But how do you share the power of Isagenix® without coming off as a spam or a marketing ploy and instead, help people walk away with a genuine, trusting relationship with you, open to the life-changing possibilities available with Isagenix?

We spoke with several savvy Associates who are harnessing the power of social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter to build their networks and, ultimately, their Isagenix businesses.

Here are their top tips for cranking your business up a notch with these exciting tools:

  1. Stick with the same profile picture. Two-Star Golden Circle and Crystal Executive Kenyon Salo says he’ll never change the profile picture of him base jumping because it’s become so unique and recognizable. Choose a photo that represents who you are; maybe it’s you relaxing on vacation, smiling broadly or doing something energetic. Go with what fits you best!
  2. Brand yourself. Take a look at the messages you focus on in your status updates and even your photos—they say a lot about who you are and what’s important to you. All of these areas can create a conversation, whether it’s positive or negative, so determine what kind you want to fuel!
  3. Don’t give away the farm. Avoid simply handing over your Isagenix replicated Web site address—you want to have the prospect come to you rather than allowing them to browse without your direction. Entice with a status update or “tweet” like “Wow, I just lost 10 pounds and I feel great!” rather than “I lost 10 pounds with Isagenix—learn more at http://johndoe.isagenix.com.”
  4. Pay attention to others’ status updates and “tweets.” Status updates are a gold mine for good conversations. When someone is saying they’re tired, they need more energy, or the bills are getting away from them, remember that you have the opportunity that could solve their problem. Reply to their update and share your experience, but be brief.
  5. Post on other peoples’ walls. The “wall,” or area where you can leave a message on someone’s profile, is a public place that anyone can see, so it’s a great way to get your message out to even more people. You never know who could be watching and want to learn more!
  6. Always accept all friend requests. It’s important to continue expanding your network so if you receive a friend request or spot someone you’d like to be friends with who has many of the same acquaintances, go ahead and “friend” them! At the very least, if you’re uncomfortable or want to keep certain parts of your profile private, you can always adjust the privacy settings.
  7. Be yourself and be well-rounded. There’s more to you than simply Isagenix, so make sure to stay true to yourself and post about other things going on in your life besides Isagenix. Watch the frequency of your message about Isagenix because if you bombard your friends with that message all the time, some people might get sensitive and delete or hide you from view. Then, you’ve lost your opportunity to speak into their lives.
  8. Post interesting articles about health and wellness. By sharing your interest in health, you could more easily discover your like-minded friends (and possibly prospects). You can even use IsagenixHealth.net as a great starting point.
  9. Stay active on your Facebook or Twitter. Make sure you stay on your Facebook and Twitter every day so nothing ever gets stagnant and you’re constantly adding more people or more people are following you.
  10. Pay attention to your chat window. When you see a list of your friends who are online, take a minute to say “hi,” ask them how they’re doing and simply listen. When they ask you what you’re doing, feel free to share how Isagenix is impacting your health and wealth.

kenyon-salo“I brand inspiration and share whatever feels good to me. A recent status update I shared was ‘I’m ordering a plate of focus…with a side of energy…and washing it down with a tall glass of desire’ and it started a great conversation on my Facebook.”
-Kenyon Salo, 2 Star Golden Circle and Crystal Executive, Colorado

dawna“If you don’t have Facebook, you absolutely have to have it. Even older generations need to get on because social media is not a fad anymore; it’s where the conversations are happening, so you have to be there.”
-Dawn Marrs, Consultant, Ontario

rick-reynolds“For me, Facebook has been the world’s best memory jogger. I’m able to support people who are cleansing by posting tips all day long during Cleanse Days and increase retention on my team. I’ve even created a whole cleansing community on Facebook because I host group cleanses.”
-Rick Reynolds, 2 Star Golden Circle, California

michael-oneal“Recently, I had someone contact me after months of following my posts on Facebook and Twitter. She Facebook-chatted me and enrolled right there. She was so excited that she watched all of the videos and invited 13 people to a home party. These status updates are like planting seeds.”

8 Ways to Say “Boo” to the Candy

halloweenTemptation may be lurking behind every door this Halloween, but don’t give into those fun ghosts and ghouls handing out spooky sweets. With delicious new products like our IsaLean® Bar in Chocolate Peanut Crunch, make this Halloween a healthy one — and don’t forget to share our tasty products with trick-or-treaters!

Here are a few ways you can be skip the sweets and still grow your business:

  1. Help curb your appetite by drinking plenty of water — for a hint of sweetness, plus a boost of energy, add a stick of Want More Energy?® to your H2O.
  2. Nosh on a piece of fruit before you go trick-or-treating — it may help satiate you (unlike candy).
  3. Going to a Halloween party? Skip the junk food and bring your own Oatmeal Berry SlimCakes, IsaLean Bars and IsaDelight® for yourself and to share with guests (this is also a great way to meet new prospects).
  4. If you know you’re going to splurge on a few pieces of candy, have an IsaLean Shake for breakfast and lunch, so you don’t go overboard on calories and still get the maximum daily nutrition.
  5. Why not hand out IsaLean Bars, IsaDelight or Want More Energy? Sticks to trick-or-treaters instead of the usual candy.
  6. If you know you’re going to give into temptation, why not host your own Halloween party and serve up healthy snacks including Want More Energy? Sticks, IsaDelight, IsaLean Bars.
  7. Call your cleanse coach or sponsor if you feel like indulging your sweet tooth.
  8. Distract yourself. If you feel like giving in to that chocolate bar, go for a walk, call a friend or run some errands to keep your mind off those tempting sweets.

Recycling Center’s Scale Reads “Success” For Scoutmaster

tim-collins_afterTim used to have to take a trip to the local recycling center in order to get an accurate reading of his weight. At 451 pounds, his doctor could no longer weigh him in at his office because his scale only went up to 350 pounds.

“Every time the nurse would weigh me, she’d have to ask me my weight,” the 37-year-old from Virginia shares. “I’d tell her I was 351 pounds and she’d write it down, but add a smiley face next to it.”

But Tim’s health was no laughing matter. Though he wasn’t struggling with many of the traditional ailments someone his size normally might, he was finding it increasingly difficult to keep up with his scout troop of more than six years when they went hiking.

Now 133 pounds lighter* and 20 pant sizes smaller*, the second-place winner of the 2009 IsaBody Challenge is enjoying energetic hikes with his troop.
