The Orange County Register newspaper recently quoted Isagenix® Director of Nutritional Sciences Dr. Susie Rockway as a source for an article about the current health epidemic surrounding Vitamin D insufficiency.
Dr. Rockway is quoted in the 250,000-circulation paper as saying “‘there isn’t a Ph.D. alive’ who thinks the current recommended intake of Vitamin D is sufficient.”
The Orange County Register’s article states that researchers believe Vitamin D insufficiency, which can lead to weakened bones, bone pain and even osteoporosis, “can be fixed with supplements” and that new research suggests that Vitamin D’s potential benefits go far beyond simply speeding up calcium absorption. Vitamin D is most readily accessed by spending a few minutes in the sun each day, but many people still do not receive sufficient levels. Vitamin D can help boost energy levels, supports heart health and much more.

National Day of Hope event held April 14, 2010
Isagenix® Co-Founder Kathy Coover joined Childhelp® on Capitol Hill on Wednesday to commemorate Childhelp’s National Day of Hope.
The National Day of Hope is held each April in Washington D.C. as part of National Child Abuse Prevention Month and aims to mobilize people across the U.S. to support the fight against child abuse.
Kathy joined lawmakers, dignitaries and celebrities for a special luncheon held at The Kennedy Room on Capitol Hill and was also interviewed live on one of Phoenix, Ariz.’s top-rated morning newscasts, Good Morning Arizona, by 3TV anchor and host Tara Hitchcock who was also invited as a celebrity guest for the prestigious event.

Kathy told Tara “Isagenix has really embraced Childhelp. Our children are our future and our Associates donate $1, $1,000 and even $50,000 every year to the organization.”
At the luncheon, members of Congress met with Childhelp Founders and Nobel Peace Prize Nominees Sara O’Meara and Yvonne Fedderson as well as other prominent activists to discuss and develop legislation on how to better aid victims of child abuse and neglect with a focus on prevention, intervention and treatment.
Isagenix has supported Childhelp since 2004, and is the sole sponsor of the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline, 1-800-4-A-Child. Isagenix sponsored Childhelp’s 50th Anniversary Tour and raised more than $1 million in 2009. Over the years, Isagenix and its Associates, customers and employees have raised more than $2 million to ensure Childhelp’s educated and professional staff is prepared to answer the calls from hurting children and adults in crisis. This 24-hour hotline has received more than 2 million calls since its inception in 1982.
Last year, the Isagenix “Wall of Hope” was unveiled to recognize the Isagenix Associates who have donated to Childhelp. The Wall of Hope features the photos and names of more than 100 people who have pledged to donate $300 or more annually. If you’re an Isagenix Associate and want to support Childhelp, you can make a pledge by filling out the contribution form in your Back Office or by contacting Isagenix Customer Service. If you’re an Isagenix customer, ask your Independent Isagenix Associate how you can get involved.

Writer’s friend shares positive results of Nutritional Cleansing and Replenishing with Isagenix®

We’re committed to our vision to impact world health and free people from physical and financial pain. That’s why we’re giving back and sending more than 45,000 canisters of our IsaLean® Shakes to assist victims of the earthquake in Haiti.
Our nutritionally-rich, high-quality whey protein shakes were recently donated to Stop Hunger Now, a relief organization that has partnered with Mission of Hope in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. These canisters of shakes will provide up to 1.2 million meals.
“It’s devastating seeing thousands of Haitians charge down the street for only two distribution trucks of food,” shares Co-Founder Kathy Coover. “Everyone deserves to have a high-quality, nutritious meal and we can provide that.”
